Dominate the CPA Exam

Admissions for the MAcc program is open three times a year — fall, spring, and summer terms. Applicants are encouraged to apply prior to the Priority Deadline date to be considered for scholarships.  If applying AFTER that date, funding is awarded on a case-by-case basis.

  • Fall Term:  April 1

  • Spring Term:  October 1

  • Summer Term:  April 1

MAcc Application and Admissions Information

HOW TO APPLY:
 

A.  Complete your application online. 
 

  1. Attach the following documents as part of your application:

    • Admissions Essay:  In approximately 500 words, please discuss the factors that influenced you to pursue a Master of Accountancy (MAcc) degree at Millsaps College.  Discuss how the MAcc will be most helpful in your career development and how you will contribute to the program.  PDF format is preferred.

    • Resume
       

  2. Two references who can speak to your ability to succeed in graduate school. You will need to provide their names and email addresses. It is preferred that one recommender be a faculty member.
     

  3. Unofficial transcripts from previous undergraduate institutions should be sent directly from the institution.  It is preferred that transcripts be sent electronically to the email address above.

    All applicants must possess a 4-year bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution (or international equivalent) prior to the date of anticipated enrollment in a Millsaps graduate program.
     

B.  GMAT Score sent directly to Millsaps College.  We also accept GRE scores as a substitution.  A GMAT Waiver is available (see below).
 

C.  Interview with the Director of Graduate Admissions.

GMAT WAIVERS:
 

The GMAT will be waived under the following conditions; you must meet all conditions:

1.  College Students:

  • Enrolled or graduated from an AACSB accredited institution OR a member of the ACS (Associated Colleges of the South).

  • Major or Minor in Business, earning a B- or better in each of the courses that comprise the major.

  • Earn a C- or better in Statistics.

  • Overall GPA is 3.2 or higher.


2.  Working Professionals:

  • Three (3) or more years of significant managerial or professional experience.

  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher.
