An MBA Program Where You Don't Have to Put Your Career on Hold

Executive EMBA Program Overview

Why should I consider the Millsaps EMBA?
Experienced professionals gain value from the Millsaps EMBA beginning at orientation.  Through class discussions, faculty interaction, guest speakers, and group study, the Millsaps EMBA delivers real-world experiences that give executives an instant return on investment.  The student’s career doesn’t get off track with the EMBA – it becomes immediately more productive.

What will I gain by participating in the Millsaps EMBA?
The overarching goal of the program is to provide students with the base of knowledge, executive skills, and abilities needed to assume leadership positions in organizations that compete in a dynamic, global environment.  This is accomplished through 48 credit hours of study in the business disciplines with an emphasis on managerial skills and analysis in each of those disciplines.

How is the Millsaps EMBA structured?
The Millsaps EMBA program is a 16-month lock-step program of study, with each cohort taking classes and graduating together.  The cohort gives participants the opportunity to learn from the experience of others.  Classes meet on alternating weekends on Friday afternoons (4 to 7:30 p.m.) and Saturdays (8 am to 4 pm).  Roughly 40 percent of the class meetings are conducted remotely but in a synchronous fashion.

What is a typical class like?
Expect each class to be exciting, fast-paced, and packed full of thoughtful discussion.  Many classes are case-based, requiring the student to bring to the table solutions to a simulated real-world business problem.

What else is included in the program?
Other benefits include at least two executive coaching sessions with a certified executive coach.  Also, students will participate in an immersive international experience in Merida, Mexico.  The cohort will operate as a team of business consultants for a Mexican organization during this intensive, one-week practicum.

What if I didn’t major in business?
No problem!  Five online leveling courses will provide students with the foundational knowledge to be successful in the EMBA program.

What is my investment?
The value of the Millsaps Executive MBA is $48,000.  The program fee covers instruction, books, two executive coaching sessions, and meals and hotel expenses on weekends the class meets on the Millsaps campus.  Expenses associated with the week-long international trip to Merida, Mexico – airfare, lodging, and excursions – are also included in the program fee.

“The decision-making skills I learned while enrolled in the EMBA program were applied immediately to my business.  As a result, my sales increased, and I paid off my tuition before I graduated from the program.”
